ENGLISH SCHOOLS’ FA CUP

This is a national competition for all secondary schools in England. This is a knock out cup with the final being played at a professional stadium. Gordon’s have reached the semi-finals for the last two years.

These leagues are made up of nine independent schools from the local area. There are leagues for the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th teams, and Gordon’s School enter a team at each level. The season runs throughout the Spring Term on a Wednesday afternoon.

GOLF: ISGA SINGLES REGIONAL FINAL

Established in 2006, the ISGA runs a series of events for independent schools throughout the UK. The main competition (Matchplay Tournament) is a knockout in which the UK is split into 20 areas. This culminates in a national final, which has previously been held at a different golf course each year.

Gordon’s School hosts an annual Rugby 7s tournament for local state and independent schools. This is a whole day event, with group matches in the morning followed by Semi Finals and Finals of a Cup, Plate, Shield and Bowl competitions.

The BSKC is an arrive and drive karting championship for students aged 13 to 18. Teams are made up of three drivers. Teams must qualify through area rounds for the National finals. Gordon’s School has finished in the top ten for the last three years.

Rosslyn Park National Schools’ Sevens has evolved into the world’s largest school rugby tournament with some 7,000 boys and girls aged 13 to 18 competing annually. Gordon’s School enters a team at all age groups.
