I’d like to wish all of our customersa very happy and prosperous NewYear, and to thank you for yourcontinued support over the last 12 months.

2015 was a busy year for us – our busiestyet - with some fantastic achievements.Winning and delivering contracts to keepRugby World Cup, Sky Ride and Tour deYorkshire spectators safe during thesehigh profile sporting events wereparticular highlights, as was completingthe M&E contract for the new ten-storeycity centre car park for the University ofLeeds and successfully renewing ourUniversity of Sheffield CCTV and accesscontrol contract for another three years.

We were also very proud to achieveCommunity Security Trust (CST)accreditation in 2015, which has enabledus to strengthen our work with theJewish community in the region. And wewere pleased to be part of the teaminvolved in upgrading town centresecurity in Snaith, working in partnershipwith the local and businesscommunities, town council and thepolice force.

There are countless other projects, too –too many to mention - and we’re veryproud of the team and all that they haveachieved.

2015 also saw the Gough and Kellygroup expand with two mergers - HaighAlarms and Adam Security – which have extended our intruder alarm services.We’re very happy to welcome new

customers to the business from both ofthese companies, and we have included an overview of our services in thisnewsletter to show you how we may beable to continue to support you.

Run, GK, run!

Our team of highly tunedathletes raised over £2000 in2015 for Age Concern and othercharities through a series ofcharity runs.

The stunning parkland aroundHarewood House was the locationfor the first 2015 outing for theGough and Kelly running team inMarch, for the Age UK 10kHarewood Dash. 19-year-oldapprentice Callum Walker proved tobe the star of the show, finishing in avery respectable 44 minutes. Andthe Leeds 10k in July saw eightmembers of the team lace up theirrunning shoes to raise money forcharity.

The team will be hitting the streetsagain shortly to get in training fortheir next outing at Harewood inMarch, where they’ll be fundraisingfor Macmillan Cancer Research.

Anyone who has a heart…

Hitting the gymAnyone who’s visited our offices will know that there’s more to them thanmeets the eye. During 2015, we upgraded and expanded our on-site gym,which is used by staff and also available to various community groups tohelp keep a fit workforce and happy community.

Making a contribution to the communities we serve is veryimportant to us, and our team gets involved in all sorts ofactivities to raise funds for causes and charities that are closeto their hearts. Here’s a roundup of some of our recentactivities.

Charity of the month

We now run a monthly draw wherestaff nominate local charities/ groupsfor a £100 cash donation. Thismonth, the £100 went to LeedsJuniors U8s and will be usedtowards new training wear for theteam. Let’s see who wins inFebruary…

We kick-started our community defibrillator initiative in 2015,which involves funding theinstallation of AutomatedExternal Defibrillators (AEDs) in the local community.

The first step was installing adefibrillator at our head office inBramley as a Community PublicAccess Defibrillator, which isavailable for members of the publicin the local area to use in anemergency prior to arrival of theemergency services. We have alsosupplied another to Morley RugbyClub for use in and around the club.

Our goal is to build on this initialinvestment and roll the programmeout annually to support more local organisations - sports grounds, in

particular. So if you know of any local clubs or community groups who could benefit, please do get intouch.

Intruder alarms

Our security systems are designed andgraded to meet the requirements ofinsurance companies and riskassessments.
