Reading Comprehension Answers
Tuesday Writing Prep
Look at the photos from yesterday – did you guess that they were of people celebrating VE day? You will be finding out more about VE day during your History lesson this week. In the meantime, use the photos to inspire a brainstorm of:
• Adverbs (how are they doing things?) eg freely, excitedly,
• Prepositional phrases (where are they?) eg on a wooden bench, at the top of an earthen mound
• Compound verbs (two verbs that mean the same thing) egspun and whirled, smiled and grinned.
Keep this word bank safe – you will need it to inform your poetry writing tomorrow!

better?
How will I survive away from home?
