4 N(T) to ITE1. All 4 N(T) students are strongly encouraged to seek

admission to the ITE for their post-secondaryeducation. Refer to handout for application processand deadlines.

2. There is keen competition for places in ITE Nitec. YouMUST participate in the Main Application Phase,else your chances of gaining a place in ITE will begreatly reduced.

3. Students need to exercise the FULL 12 choices andinclude less popular options to maximise theirchances of a successful posting. (See handout)

4 N(A) to Polytechnic Foundation Programme (PFP)

• PFP aims to prepare well-performing Sec 4 N(A) studentsfor progression into selected polytechnic diplomacourses.

• As an alternative to Sec 5, the PFP is a diploma-specificfoundation programme conducted over two semesters atthe polytechnics.

• About 1,200 PFP places are offered annually, spreadacross more than 80% of diploma course offerings at thepolytechnics.

• Eligibility does not guarantee placement in a PFP course.

4 N(A) Direct Entry Scheme to Polytechnic Programme (DPP)

DPP aims to prepare well-performing Secondary 4 N(A)students for progression into selected polytechnicdiploma courses via a 2-year Higher Nitec programmeat ITE and a 10-week DPP preparatory course.

DPP students who attain the required Higher NitecGrade Point Average (GPA) scores are guaranteed a place in one of the polytechnic diploma coursesmapped to the Higher Nitec course. Refer to https://www.ite.edu.sg/wps/portal/definitely-des/ for course mapping.

4 N(A) Direct Entry Scheme to Polytechnic Programme (DPP)

Submission of Direct-Entry-Scheme to Polytechnic Programme (DPP) Applications

• All DPP-eligible students will receive a copy of Form Nwhich contains a unique Personal Identification Number(PIN).

• Submit applications online via the DPP applicationwebsite (https://www.ite.edu.sg).

• Students who have sat for both GCE ‘N’ and GCE ‘O’Level examination subjects can apply for the DPP priorto the release of their GCE ‘O’ Level results. They maysubmit an application in December using both their GCE‘N’ Level and school-based preliminary ‘O’ Level results

Dec 2017. Students can check the posting results online viathe ITE application portal.

• Students who receive a DPP offer are required to log on tothe ITE application portal between 9.00 am on 26 Dec and3.00 pm on 28 Dec to accept or reject the DPP offer.

the Main Application Phase greatly reduces a student’s likelihood ofgaining a place in ITE.

b) Students need to exercise the full 12 choices and include less popularoptions to maximise their chances of a successful posting.

c) N(A) students are on ‘an equal footing’ with N(T) students in ITE’sadmission process.

d) Application to ITE (Nitec or Higher Nitec courses),• Nitec graduates with good GPA can apply for progression to the

1st or 2nd year of a relevant Higher Nitec course. Higher Nitecgraduates with good GPA can apply for admission to the 1st/2ndyear of a related diploma course at the polytechnics.

• Any changes must be reported by 29 Dec.• There will be an administrative fee of $50 for

any request to amend the students’particulars.

School Graduation Certificate• During Feb / Mar 2018 (check school website for

• If you opt to go on to Sec 5 N(A), but change yourmind shortly after, you will ONLY get your SchoolGraduation Certificate in Feb / Mar 2019.

• Loss of certificates: MOE and the school will notbe able to replace these documents but pupilsmay get a certified true copy from MOE at anadministrative fee chargeable.

Counsellor) on 19 Dec (Tue) 9am to 4pm at Counselling Room (level 3) for advice on course selection.

• No appointment needed.

• To complement the ECG programmes and services provided by schools, students and their parents may also book an appointment at 6831 1420 or MOE_ECG@moe.gov.sg to see an ECG Counsellor at the ECG Centre @MOE (Grange Road). The ECG Centre will be open from 11 to 23 December 2017 (9.00am to 5.00pm).
