Accessing the Screener
To access the Screener, please select “Screeners” from the GuruFocus Blue Ribbon and then
select “All-in-one Screener” from the “Value Screens” column. Figure 1 illustrates a screen shot.

Regions, Countries and Exchanges
To set the regions, countries and exchanges for the Screener, please click on the desired
regions, countries and exchanges from the “Regions” section. Figure 2 illustrates an example.

GuruFocus Screens
To select a predefined “GuruFocus Screen,” click on the “GuruFocus Screens” item and then
select the desired screen from the drop-down menu as Figure 3 illustrates.

My Screens
If you have any saved screens, you can view them by clicking on the “My Screens” item and
then select the desired screen from the drop-down menu. Figure 4 illustrates the location of
“My Screens.”

Setting Filters / Entering Values
To set a filter, simply click on the drop-down menu for the desired filter and select the desired
value. If you do not see the desired value, you can simply just enter it in the box. Figure 5
illustrates an example of setting a filter to a preset value while Figure 6 illustrates an example of
entering a value for a filter.

Search Filters
To search for a filter, enter the keyword in the “Search Filter” box as illustrated in Figure 7.

The filters that match the keyword will be highlighted in green as Figure 8 illustrates.

Save New Screen
As you set and enter filters, the Screener will create the active screen “Temp Screen” as Figure
9 illustrates.

You can save the screen in one of two ways, either through the “Save” button within “Temp
Screen” or through the “New Screen:” feature in the “Save / Download” section.

Customized Filters
If you wish to add a custom filter for screening, click on the “Add Filter” button as Figure 10
illustrates. You will then see a pop-up window like the one shown in Figure 11.

Adding Customized Fields
To add a customized field, enter the desired expression in the “Expression” box, the desired
operator in the “Operator” box, and the desired value in the “Value” box as Figure 12
illustrates.

Divide expression into filter
To break up an expression into three separate parts: expression, operator and value, please
click on the “Divide Expression into Filter” as Figure 13 illustrates.

Adding and remove columns in “Views”
To add a column to the “Screener Results Table,” click on the “three dots” button as Figure 14
illustrates. You will then see a pop-up window like the one shown in Figure 15.

You can then add a specific field by placing a check mark next to the desired field. The “Search
for” box allows you to search for the desired field. To remove a field, remove the check mark
next to the field you wish to remove.

Moving columns
To move a column to a different place in the table, you can simply “drag and drop” the column
to the desired place. Figure 16 illustrates an example.

GuruFocus Views / My Views
You can either select one of the predefined views by clicking on “GuruFocus Views” or one of
your user-defined views by clicking on “My Views.” Figure 17 illustrates a screen shot for
“GuruFocus Views” while Figure 18 illustrates a screen shot for “My Views.”

Save New View
Click on the “Save” button located in “Temp View” to save a view. Figure 19 illustrates the
location of “Save New View” while Figure 20 shows a sample “Save New View” pop-up window.

Manage Screens, Views and Fields
To manage your screens, click on the “My Screens” button within the “Manage:” section as
Figure 21 illustrates. Click on the “My Views” button to manage your screener views or click on
the “My Fields” button to manage your user-defined fields. Figure 22 illustrates a sample pop-
up window.

Downloading to Excel / Manual of Stocks
To download a screener results table to Excel, please click on either the Download button or
the “To CSV” button as Figure 23 illustrates. To view the Manual of Stocks for the screener
results, please click on the Manual of Stocks button as Figure 24 illustrates.

Add to Portfolio
To add the stocks shown in the screener results table to a portfolio, click on the “Add to
Portfolio” button as Figure 25 illustrates. You can then save a portfolio to “My Portfolios” using
the pop-up window illustrated in Figure 26.

Charts
To view the Peter Lynch Charts for the stocks in the Screener Results table, click on the “Charts”
item as Figure 27 illustrates.

To view the “Valuation Heat Map,” click on the “Map” icon as Figure 28 illustrates.

Screening using historical data
To screen using historical data, please click on the “Historical” item as Figure 29 illustrates. Click
on the desired date from the drop-down menu.

Load from Portfolio
To set a user-defined portfolio as the universe of stocks for the Screener, please click on the
“Load from Portfolio” drop-down menu and select the desired portfolio from the drop-down
menu. Figure 30 illustrates the location of the “Load from Portfolio” filter.

Backtesting
To open the “Backtesting” feature, click on the “Backtesting” item as Figure 31 illustrates. You
will then see the Backtesting section, which allows you to set the backtesting parameters.

Once you set the backtesting parameters, click on the “Go” button as illustrated in Figure 32 to
start the backtesting. You will then see the test results.

Viewing Guru and Insider Trades
To view the guru trades for stocks in the results table, click on the “G” in the column containing
the three vertical dots. Likewise, click on the “I” in the “three vertical dots” column to view the
insider trades as Figure 33 illustrates.
