Conclusions

• Dublin Bay is internationally important for for wintering waterfowl, both because of overall numbers, and numbers of five species:

• Brent geese• Knot• Black-tailed godwit• Bar-tailed godwit• Redshank

Concluding Remarks

• Terrestrial ecology is not yet complete. Nature Park to be surveyed next summer (2004).

• All baseline data to be compiled into one report to be made available for the developer.

• No comments can be made on the impact on the environment of a thermal treatment plant at this stage (plant detail unknown, developer not yet selected).

• Extensive baseline monitoring is key to a comprehensive EIS.
