Hallo and greetings from

everyone at Bakoteh

Proper Lower Basic School. How are you

all?

We are going to showing you how to make Gambian Fruit

Salad.

We went to the fruit seller and bought apples, bananas, water melons, limes and coconut. We

also went to the shop and bought some milk and sugar

So now we have everything including some bowls and knives.

But the first thing we have to do is wash

everything to make sure it is clean.

Now we are peeling the fruits. This easy because the fruit is

nice and fresh.

After peeling the fruits we are now cutting them into tiny pieces and

removing seeds from the water melon to make it easier and safe when eating

Now we put some sugar in the milk to

make it sweet

But we don’t like it too sweet, so we

add a little sugar at a time and taste it.

Then we mix everything together in a big bowl and when it is all mixed serve it out

into smaller bowls.

We have made lots. Enough for everyone in our class.

We think it tastes delicious !

Fruit salad is so nice to eat on a hot sunny day.

And soon we are going to have a

go at making Ginger bread

men and decorating them with icing sugar.
