The Bible is filled with stories of larger‐than‐life heroes. These stories could easily grace the pages of comic books or the sil‐ver screens of blockbuster films; but most astoundingly, the sto‐ries from Scripture are all true! Beginning in April, we will be div‐
ing into the lives of one of the greatest heroes of our faith. His supernatural faith and incredible obedience make him a hero that all Chris ans can look up to. And most importantly, Joshua points us to the greatest hero – the Conquering King; the Com‐mander of the Lord’s Army – Jesus Christ! Don’t miss a moment of this series as we walk through this exci ng book and explore Joshua: Courage, Conquest, and a Crimson Cord. Sunday nights present a more tradi onal worship service with a study through the book of Philippians. Make plans to join us on Sunday evenings at 6:00 and worship with GCC in the Conference Center.

SEARCH COMMITTEE UPDATE From the dozens of résumés we have collected, we have nar‐rowed the field – by God’s grace – to a single candidate. We have met with this man and his family in order to further discern God’s leading. The commi ee is confident that we will have our recommenda on soon and will be able to bring him before the Cabinet for final approval. Please remain in prayer for the man and the family that God is preparing for us. To God be the glory!
I will be having a summer reading group. Anyone is welcome to a end. We will be reading two books over the summer and will meet weekly to discuss these books and how they can impact our ministries at Grace Community Church. The books include The Church: The Gospel Made Visible
by Mark Dever and Creature of the Word: The Jesus Centered Church by Chandler, Pa erson and Geiger. These books are available on Amazon or CBD. We will also have a limited number of books for sale at the kiosk on Sunday mornings for $10 each. We will meet each week in room 102 off the Conference Center.

Children’s Ministry June News to YOU!
Announcing
Ocean Commotion
VBS—June
27-July 1
Dive in and have a boatload of FUN! Every day, our kids are challenged to stand for God. Noah experienced the same challenges during the time of the great flood thousands of years ago. Yet by God’s grace, he was able to stand firm. At Ocean Commotion, kids will dive deep into the account of Noah and the flood. They will learn what it means to:
Stand for God; Obey God; Trust God: Thank God: Fear God.
VBS is open to pre-schoolers (must be potty trained) through those who just finished 5th grade. Nursery will be available but only for those whose parents or caregivers are part of the VBS staff.
15
Our day will begin at 9:00 and end at noon. Students and staff may register online any-time by visiting gccinoverbrook.com and clicking on the events page.
VBS MEETING All those interested in serving as staff at Ocean Commotion please plan on attending a staff meeting on Tuesday, May 31st at 6pm. Staff shirts will be given out this night, so make sure you
