Common mistakes

• Providing inaccurate measurements for power installation

• Waiting for OCCC electricians to branch power, when Exhibitors and/or EACs are permitted to branch power in the booth

• OCCC electricians will not branch power and are not responsible for power distribution installed by others

• Exhibitors are permitted to install all plug rentals. If an electrician is needed, one may be provided

When should exhibitors expect their electrical to be down

• To prevent delay of installation, a detailed print should be submitted with the order

Check out OCCC Rigging/Hanging Sign FAQ’s

Orange County Convention Center Rigging- Hanging Signs

Rigging is done by first come first serve basis.• Once your sign/truss/structure is ready to be lifted, please visit the OCCC Service Desk in W205

and the next available rigging team will be dispatched to your booth.• You can also order a dedicated rigging team at an additional cost if you have a specific time

when you need items rigged • OCCC does NOT assemble or build signs/ground supported truss/structures/non OCCC truss. • Once the truss is attached to the facility and floating, your EAC/GSC can attach whatever they

need to the truss without assistance from the OCCC. The attachments must meet safety standards; gear used for the attachment must be rated and manufactured by a reputable company (the manufacturer of the rigging hardware must be legally liable for its products in the continental United States. “Made in China” rigging gear will be rejected). After they are completed, OCCC will then do safety inspection before raising to the designated height

• All signage is subject to on-site inspection for final approval. An Engineers Certification may be required under certain conditions.

If you need adjustments made to your rigging, please visit the service desk

Speed is based on shared or dedicated service• Smart City and/or the exhibitor can lay all internet cables prior to carpet install• Hard wire services from floor pockets• Slowing internet speed will depend on number of devices using shared service
