SCMSERVICE CLUB OF MILWAUKEE
“No one is greater than the service she renders the
world.”
Testimonials"In Milwaukee, we are fortunate to have many advocates who believe, as we do, that kids deserve the best. Children's Hospital of Wisconsin was founded by members of our community, and we continue to grow through meaningful local partnerships and the support we give and receive. The Service Club of Milwaukee is a dedicated ally in the community, and I am deeply grateful for their philanthropy and volunteer support of our programs." -Peggy Troy, CEO, Children's Hospital of Wisconsin
“Service Club of Milwaukee has provided us with nearly $150,000 in funding over the past 45 years, as well as countless volunteers dedicated to assisting our staff and students. Our organization wouldn’t be the same without Service Club!” -St. Francis Children’s Center
“I love SCM because of the amazing opportunities to serve our community and the friendships we gain from small groups and large group activities. We continuously learn from the girls we serve with and the members of the community to which we serve!” -Coco G., Active Member
“I love being a part of SCM because it allows me to pursue my passion of doing service along with other girls throughout the Milwaukee area. I have met so many amazing people through my participation in this club and have had so many amazing experiences doing service that have shaped who I am today. I am definitely looking forward to debuting at Charity Ball!” -Paige P., Active Member
“The most memorable experience I’ll take away from the Service Club is the overall sense of unity I felt after working together with the SCM girls.” -Lauren N., Life Member
“The Charity Ball was a MAGICAL evening! The food was magnificent, the flowers gorgeous, and the young ladies were radiant. It is an evening that we will remember for many, many years to come.” -Ellen D., Parent of Honoree
History of SCMSince its inception in 1910, the Service Clubof Milwaukee has been dedicated to providingyoung women with a variety of volunteer andfundraising experiences during their highschool years. Becoming a member of SCMprovides a firsthand introduction tovolunteerism in the community. As the nextgeneration of volunteers, members learn howto effectively contribute to the future of nonprofit organizations by volunteering their time and talents. Another primary focus of our club also has been to provide financial assistance to non-profit agencies in the greater Milwaukee area. Grant requests for these agencies are awarded at our annual Charity Ball, a gala event where our SCM members are celebrated for successfully fulfilling a minimum of 90 hours of volunteer service and $1,000 in fundraising during their membership years.
