HistoryA landmark bridge linking Hong Kong - Zhuhai – Macau is playing a strategic role and strengthening the economic development of this area. The

construction began in 2009 and it has opened in 2018. When this magnificent bridge has been opened to traffic it only takes 40 minutes by car to go from Zhuhai to Hong Kong instead of 3 and a half hours.

The bridge is 55 km long, and the project also includes the construction of two artificial islands and a dual 3-lane tunnel that is the longest in the world of its kind.

Why stainless steel?Stainless steel reinforced bars have proved to be the right, intelligent and cost-effective solution when used in an aggressive atmosphere or where access to areas potentially needing repair is difficult or even impossible. To build this mega-structure, stainless steel rebar made in Spain by ROLDAN has been used to achieve the highest quality standards.
