The Hospital has 3 well planned Operating theatres, a well-equipped Labour room. On
average 100000 outpatients, 6,000 in-patients are treated and nearly 2000 surgeries and 500
deliveries are conducted annually.

2. Inpatient rehabilitation for paralysis: Paralysis patients can avail intensive rehabilitation treatment at
Agadi hospital and research centre.

4. Pregnancy exercise programme: We conduct pre and post-natal fitness programme for ladies during

The Agadi Foundation had its humble beginning in the year 1988, under the able guidance of
Dr. B.M. Agadi. This centre was started with a dedication to provide quality treatment to the dialysis
patients at an affordable cost. The Centre has been helping the poor patients who are suffering from
Renal Failure and are not able to afford the costs of the treatment. These patients suffer on account of
their illness physically and mentally. We aim at not only providing them with medical relief at a very
reasonable cost but also help them regain their sense of confidence. The unit is staffed with well
Qualified and experienced doctors, technicians, nurse and attenders. Staffs are professional and
uphold the dignity of life and respect for the patients and their families. We are presently treating
more than thirty patients in three shifts. Few patients are on regular dialysis for more than five years.
The Dialysis unit is provided with treatment room, preparation room, waiting area for the
attenders, room for patients to rest after dialysis and a consultation room. The facility has five
machines among which three are the latest ones. The unit is geared for six days a week and working 8
hours daily with two shifts. At emergency even on Sundays and general holidays patients are taken up
for dialysis. On an average at least 12 patients are treated daily in two shifts.

3. What discount is given to senior citizen & whether this is applicable to all classes?
Senior citizens are entitled to waiver of 10% of the final bill, in Economy class. Senior
citizen concession is offered only for patients with Agadi hospital senior citizen club
membership. For further information please contact the front office staff.
4. What is Day Care Surgery? Day care surgery means patients undergoing surgery / procedures do not require to stay
overnight in the Hospital.
5. What is the deposit for the operation?
The Total surgery cost /estimated cost should be deposited at the cash counter before surgery.
6. Do you take reservation deposit that confirms my bed of choice?
No. However, all efforts will be made to give the bed/class of your choice, subject to
availability.
7. What is the actual mode of admission?
After telephonic confirmation of your bed you may bring the patient along with the doctor’s
Admit note or bring your letter of authority from your company. After fulfilling the
formalities at the admission counter, you will be given an admission Number. Then you will
be guided to floor /room allotted.
8. Are there any financial formalities to be completed?
Yes, patient has to pay the deposits as per the category of the class, and in case of surgery /
procedure as per the grade of surgery.
9. What is a mode of payment?
Patients can deposit the payment by cash /Demand draft / credit cards (attracts 2% service
charges).
10. Is my mediclaim policy accepted at your hospital?
Yes, we accept these TPA cards TTK, UHC, Paramount, HDFC Ergo, Emeditek etc.
(depending on the current status of empanelment), please check with the Insurance
Coordinator & front office for further information on this.
11. Do you provide ambulance services?
Yes we do. Please contact the admission counter on 22222925/921/374, which is open round
the clock.
12. What are the visiting hours?
Monday to Saturday - 4 pm to 7 pm

13. How many passes do you issue?
To control the crowd and noise you will appreciate that we issue only one pass for an
attendant & one visitors pass, which is to be surrendered at the admission counter at the time
of discharge.
14. What are timings for discharge?
Discharge time is between 8.00 am to 8.00 pm, discharge formalities should be completed
before 8.00pm on the day of discharge.
15. What is the procedure for Discharge?
Your consultants will make entry of discharge in the In-patient case sheet containing the
relevant papers. The final bill is ready after the deposit is taken into account. When the final
bill is received, payment has to be made at the cash counter near the Main reception.
16. Is food from outside allowed?
Yes.
17. Is there any surcharge on the hospital bills?
NO.
18. What is the procedure for refund?
Documents required for deposit refund-

19. What are the rules for transferring the patient to lower class or higher class? Transfer to lower class /Higher class will be considered on request. Charges will be applicable
as per the class of accommodation opted.
20. How do I get summary report/Discharge Card? Your discharge card or summary report will be given to you by the floor staff before being
discharged or the next day you can collect it as per your convienience.
21. Where will I get by balance investigation reports done during admission? All reports of investigations are to be collected from the concerned ward between 1.30pm to
4pm only.
22. Do you have Emergency Charges system?
Yes, additional charges are applicable for emergency like night visits /emergency surgery etc.
23. Can we buy medicines or consumable from outside?
All the medicines are provided by the Hospital Medical Stores.
