Christmas 25 of December

Easter is the oldest and the most important religous holiday in Poland.

It commemorates the resurrection of Christ. On the Easter Sunday, the whole family

sits down to breakfast together. We eat dishes such as sausage, soup

"żur", pate, cake "babka" and "mazur".We haveThe tradition of sharing the blessed

Eggs with the others.

On second day of Easter we have a special day. It name is "Lany poniedziałek„ and it means „Wet Monday”

Easter in Poland is a very colorful and a cheerful feast.

During the day of all the saints, we pray for the dead. The whole family come to the grave

of a loved one and light a candle.

Santa Claus is coming to town! In remembrance of St. Nicholas, parents gives small gifts to their children.

Polish people celebrate Christmas like in many countries. I present to you some traditional rituals, dishes, etc.
