In- text Citations: You mention the source in your paragraph.

Author’s name is stated in the sentence OR parenthesis. Page number is always in parenthesis. Examples:

Connell presents the idea of survival of the fittest when Whitney and Rainsford are conversing about the hunters and the huntees (213).

“Life is for the strong, to be lived by the strong, and, if need be, taken by the strong” (Connell, 225).

The author’s name or a book with a single author's name appears in last name, first name format. The basic form for a book citation is:
