How to Access PPCC Tutoring Online

1.   Go to www.ppcc.edu and click on “myPPCC Portal Login” on the top right side of the page (skip to step 4 if you prefer to sign in directly to the PPCC Online Campus Homepage https://ppcc.desire2learn.com/d2l/home)

2.   Sign in to the student portal with your S# and password.

3.   Once signed in, click on “Course Access” then “PPCC Online.” This will take you to the

PPCC Online Campus homepage.

4.   Click on “Student Resources” at the top of the page in the center; this will open a drop-

down list—click on PPCC Tutoring.

•   PPCC Online Tutoring hours for Summer 2020 are M-F à 9 am – 5 pm

•   Outside of PPCC Tutoring operating hours, tutoring is available through NetTutor 24/7 and can be accessed under the Student Resources tab directly below PPCC Tutoring

5.   When you click on PPCC Tutoring, a new tab will open (make sure you have pop-ups enabled for this to work) •   The new tab will list the main subject groups offered for tutoring; choose the subject

you are looking for assistance with.

6.   Once you’ve chosen a subject, you will be brought to a welcome page for the subject and

you will see a box that says “One-on-One Live Rooms” with a number (#) and an arrow

next to it. The number indicates how many tutors are online to offer tutoring. Click the

arrow to view the options.

7.   Clicking the arrow will reveal a drop-down list of all available one-on-one tutoring rooms. •   Each room will have the name of the tutor and a list of the subjects and course

numbers they are able to help with.

•   Occupied rooms will say “There is a session in progress. Get in line to join the next session.” Unoccupied rooms will say “This room is open. Join now.”

•   Check the list to find an unoccupied room for the subject you’d like help with; if the only

room for your subject is occupied, click on the room to be placed in

the waiting line; you will be helped when the tutor has finished helping those in line ahead of you.

•   If there are no rooms listed for the subject you want help with,

visit https://www.ppcc.edu/learning-

commons/tutoring/schedules for a subject-specific tutoring

schedule.

side of the page to view the schedule.)
