How to Compress a Digital Video for Submission in ANGEL

Instructions for Windows Movie Maker

1. Open Windows Movie Maker in the All Programs list of the Start menu.

2. When Movie Maker opens, click on the Import video option.

3. Navigate to the video file you want to compress. It may be located on your flash drive, your computer, or other storage media. Click Import.

4. After Movie Maker finishes importing your video, the video file will appear in the Collections area.

5. Click on the clip and drag it to the storyboard area at the bottom of the screen.

6. Click the Send in e-mail option listed under Finish Movie in the sidebar on the left.

7. Choose to Save a copy of my movie on my computer. Name your movie and choose the

location where you would like to save your video. Afterwards, press cancel instead of next, and confirm that you are cancelling the e-mail by clicking yes.

8. Your compressed video is now available to upload or send as an attachment with an e-mail.

9. When you are ready to submit the video, choose the browse option and navigate to the file where your compressed video is located. Follow the attachment procedures as you would for submitting a document.
