How To Create A Destiny Account

Patron Empowerment

Open Destiny using the icon on your desktop.

Click on the Create Account button in the top right corner.

• Destiny Homepage

Last Name and student ID number

• The barcode number is your student ID number.

Then click on NEXT

Birthdates are required

• Enter your birth date: select the month, day and year.

• You must enter your actual birth date!

• When you are done, click NEXT

More required information!

• Username – Student ID #• Password – Student ID #• After students are allowed to enter holds,

we’ll need your email address so that when a “hold” or book you requested is available, you can be notified. Be sure you use an email with a suitable “handle.”

When you are done, click SAVE.

Now you can . . .

• Look at what books/materials you have out

• Check due dates

• Submit book reviews

• Create resource listsBooks you want to readBooks for a research paper to

produce a citation page

You can also…….

• Submit a title as a recommended purchase

• Renew books– Cannot have overdue materials– Book cannot be on hold for someone else

• View your history• (what books/materials you borrowed previously)

Create resource list

• Click on Catalog Tab

• Then Click on Resource Lists

• Then Click on Add List

Type “Books I want to read” in name box.

• Click Library Search Tab

• Type in material

• Click add page

• View in Resource Lists

Create a Review

• Open Title Peek to read and understand a review.

• Click on Reviews.

• Click on Add Reviews.

• Always type in Microsoft Word first to edit.

• Rate Title. SAVE, and Ms. Sultenfuss will

check it before publishing.

Recommend book to a friend.

• Click on Recommend

• Type in name of friend (only those with an account will be found)
