How to Create a Region and an Area Polygon in Planet
TRANSCRIPT
1) Under layer control, make the cosmetic layer editable.
2) Using the MapInfo drawing tools, create a polygon on the display.
3) Click on the polygon with the mouse to actively select it.
4) To convert the polygon to a region, click on GIS – Objects – Convert to Regions.
5) To save the region as an Area, go to Project Explorer. With the category set to Project Data, right-click on Areas and choose Create.
6) Add a value in the Name field. Click on the Data Source tab and choose Selection. Hit the Generate button.
