Make eye contact

• Engage your audience through eye contact• Scan all of the audience• Try to make eye contact with almost everyone

Use your voice

• Everyone should be able to hear you• Speak at the right speed - a little slower

than everyday conversation• Use your voice to emphasise important

points• Show that you're questioning an issue

Use timing

• Pace your presentation • Don't be afraid of using short pauses • Avoid speaking too quickly• Time your practice presentation

Use 'signposts'

important information.
