How To Submit Records to The Virtual Museum

Megan Loftie-Eaton – Animal Demography Unit – University of Cape Town

Click on Data upload

New? Register at http://www.adu.org.za/register.php?project=vmusAfter registering, or if you are already registered, you can LOGIN at http://vmus.adu.org.zaAnd then click on Data upload

If you do not have GPS coordinates you can use this Google map to pinpoint your record(s)

Note:One species = One record

And for each individual record you can submit up to 3 photos

of the species in question

Select project and upload photo(s)

(preferably less than 1 megabyte)

You will see on the photo upload page that you can submit 3 records for one locality, BUT if you have more than three records

to submit for the same specific locality then you can select the “add more” box. You can add another 3, and another 3 after that and so on, by selecting the “add more” box each time (NOTE: all

records must be from the same specific locality, if not, then please start a new data upload)

EasyPeasy!!

Congratulations! You have successfully submitted your record(s)!!!(example photo from MammalMAP)
