• Developed by Beaumont College for RSC NW and TechDis

• Initial pilot included leaners from • Beaumont College• Lancaster and Morecambe College• Bridge College

• Concluded in July 2012.

• No games (Farmville etc)• Wall only just being developed

• Need staff support to login• Hard to access on own, need support staff

Extended Pilot

• Further development• Time limited trial with other colleges• Requested volunteer colleges in England

and Scotland• 27 expressions of interest for 5 places• Commenced September 2012

Lessons Learned

• Changes made to the system• Further accessibility features• Addition of a ‘Wall’ option

• More support needed than anticipated• Small number meant critical mass didn’t

happen• Recruited more colleges in the second half

Evaluation of Extended Pilot

• Currently ongoing• Mixed feedback from colleges• Further development needed • Synchronous online sessions very popular
