2. Verify that Academic Standing Codes are Correcta) Run the Academic Standing process at:
Navigator> Records & Enrollment>Term Processing>End of Term Processing>Acad Standing/Honors & AwardsTile Navigation: Student Records Tiles > End of Term Processing > Acad Standing/Honors & Awards
b) Verify that standing codes are correct by reviewing report at : Navigator>NDU Application>NDU Student Records>Report>NDU Academic Standing ReportTile Navigation: Tile Navigation: Student Records Tiles > End of Term Processing > NDU Academic Standing Report
c) Letters are produced based on the Academic Standing Action code located atNavigator>Records & Enrollment>Student Term Information>Term History, Academic Standing tab.Tile Navigation: Student Records Tile>Records & Enrollment>Term History>Academic Standing tab

Run 3C Engine to select populationNavigation: Navigator>Campus Community >Communication>Run 3C EngineTile Navigation: Student Records Tile < Communications > Run 3C Enginea) Create a Run Controlb) Check the Population Selection boxc) Enter Academic Institution, Administrative Function = STRM and Event ID =
SRACADSTNDd) Set Selection Tool = PS Querye) Select from two queries:
NDU_SR_0284_ACSTNDCAR for selection by career or NDU_SR_0284_ACSTNDCODE for selection by academic standing action code
f) Click the Edit Prompts link to enter query prompts the institution, term and career, standing action code, then click OK.
This extracts the data used by the letter and email.

4. Run Communication Generation to produce the letter (skip step 4 if the letter content has been switched to email only for your campus)

Process Parameters tab for first run in a terma) Select the Address type b) For Address Name, Salutation, Extra Name, choose Primary Full.c) For Communication Date range, set the date to the date the 3C Engine was run (step 3 date) for both from & to.d) On the first run, check the Online Preview box to preview 10 letters that are sent to your Report Manager.e) Click Save, Click Runf) When the job has completed, go to Report Manager to view the 10 sample letters.
If there is anything wrong with the letters, submit a ticket to make the needed corrections.g) Continue running this step until the letters are correct.h) Proceed to the next step when the letters are correct.

- this step produces the letters and they become available in Student Communicationsa) Uncheck the Online Preview boxb) Check the Send to File boxc) Enter the MOVEit file path for your institution.

6. Run an email for 1 student.Navigation: Campus Community>Communications>Person Communications>Communication Management, Add a New Value and enter the emplID for the student
Tile Navigation: Student Records Tile > Communications > Communication Management > Add a New Value for student
a. Enter Function = STRM,b. Institutionc. Comm Key = SRACSTDE (for this Comm Key to be available in the dropdown it must be entered at Setup
SACR>User Defaults on the Communication Speed Keys page)d. Category = SRCOMMe. Context = SRACSTf. Method = Eg. Letter Code for your institution
h. Click the Variable Data button.i. Enter the variable data Career and Term.
j. Click Savek. Go to Navigator>Campus Community>Communications>Communication Generation
Enter ID Selection = One Person ID and Person ID = emplID for student.Go to step 5 and follow the instructions for the remailer of the run control.

‘Tasks’ tile on the Student Homepage
b) The student will see an indication ‘ Unread Communications on the To Do List Screen. They can click the ‘Go to Communications’ button or the ‘Communications’ menu item on the left side menu.
