What is InfoSource?

• InfoSource is an online staff development tool offering training for various computer applications:– Microsoft Word– Excel – Access– PowerPoint – Outlook – FrontPage – Project – Quicken – QuickBooks – Lotus Notes

What is InfoSource?

• Additional enrichment courses are offered on – digital imaging– time management– presentation skills– business writing – personal digital assistants– the Internet

• The LMS (Learning Management System) offers extensive online course libraries for training.

• A new addition to this library is Soft Skills.

Soft Skills

• Soft Skills include lessons to help you improve – Communication– Teamwork – Leadership

Learners have access to online training and testing, can view their statistics & review their progress.

Open Internet Explorer. Go to mcpss.howtomaster.com

Click the System Test button. Follow instructions for making corrections on your computer. If you have green checks next to

all items on the list you will not need to do anything to the computer. If there is a red X next to any of the items on the list,

you need to follow the directions under that item.

• Make sure that the computer will allow pop-ups from this site. (Click on Tools. Go down to Pop-up Blocker. Click on Pop-up blocker settings. Type in the URL: mcpss.howtomaster.com, click Add and then OK.)

Click the Authorware Player button.

Click on the

words “Click Here”

• A window will open to install Authorware.

• Please note the Warning Message: Warning: Do not close this window until you see the animated Macromedia logo in the top left corner of this window, otherwise the installation will not be successful. Note, installation time can take anywhere from 2-11 minutes (or longer) depending on your Internet connection speed, we appreciate your patience.

Login with your user name and password.

• Complete the Training Guide.

• Complete the Testing Guide. Click Finish.

• Click on My Info, and then Profile. You may wish to change your password at this time.

Click on Courses to view the courses assigned to you.

If you want to add courses or select course work for your school just contact your school’s Technology Support Teacher.
