Initial Idea Generation

PlotA father comes home from work, expecting his family to be there to greet him and no one is there. He looks around calling for them and notices things such as the TV left on, the kettle boiling, the microwave counting down numbers, taps running etc. The father tries to contact his wife and just receives a voice mail, and then it goes to a flash back of the mum calling the farther and it going to voice mail (connecting the scenes) and the flashback shows the father coming home from work and greeting his family that are now there and the personalities of the family is shown. It then goes back to the father standing there with his head in his hands in some form of pain.

The farther: Gary The mother: Alison The son: George The daughter: Rebecca A dog: Max

Setting

The setting is going to be within a family home, there may be a scene of the father arriving home but this will just be of the street. All rooms for the family house could be shown to receive a better understanding of the characters.

Costume/PropsEveryday clothing as it’s going to be a typically family and smart/work clothes to show the farther has come home from work.Props will include everyday household objects, TV, kettle, microwave, phone etc.

Soundtrack

Creepy suspense music. Heavy breathing sound effect. Voicemail. Boiling, microwave bleeping, TV, tap dripping.
