Initial Steps to TEMS Drive:

• Omega tool is an in-house Ericsson tool to process TEMS log files. The output from this tool will be in “Omega Output” folder.

In Omega output of the cluster. Different directories have different outputs:

In this presentation we will cover some highlighted outputs which are important for Cluster Analysis. From Omega output we get four important KPIs.

KPI-Output: This folder has dropped call and call setup failure info

2. Dropped Call: This folder has for all MS mid, mif and txt file. Open .txt file in Excel

For CS call, need to filter “End Message” with “Dropped” + “sequence Type” should be “Complete” This column shows which log

file has drop

For PS call, need to filter “IM Count” should be greater than “0” + “sequence Type” should be “Complete”.

This column shows which log file has drop

1. Missing neighbor output

Open “MS1MissingNeighborList” in Excel. Filter with more number of “Samples” and less “Distance” to insure that no first tier and second tier neighbor are not missing.

3. CallSetup: This folder has for all MS mid, mif and txt file. Open .txt file in Excel

For both CS and PS, need to filter “Access Failure ” with “Yes”

4. Application Drop

Open “MS3ApplicationGNG.txt” file in Excel . Filter “Dropped” for “Yes” + “sequence Type” should be “Complete”.

• Other miscellaneous outputs for plots:

Click on Configuration and click on General• Open TEMS Investigation Data Collection.

First we need to open Cellfile for TEMS.

Double click on Cell file load

Browse to the location where you have your cell file saved

Open log files which has drop and then start analysis.
