A nationally driven example

• Developed a National Climate Change Action Plan that outlines a longterm program and strategies for adaptation and mitigation in line with its national development plan

• Philippines Climate Change Commission (CCC) coordinates involvement of stakeholders from relevant sectoral agencies and ministries and others

• CCC includes a panel of experts with representatives of a range of climate-sensitive sectors who provide technical advice in climate science, technologies and best practices to enhance adaptive capacity

• One hour to rotate through three country stations. Just under 20 minutes at each station

• There are four countries here this evening– pick three! Albania, Colombia, Grenada, Peru

• Each country group leader will give a brief (~5 min) introduction to their approach to initiating integration in the NAP process

• This will be followed by about 10 minutes for questions/discussion

• We will come back to plenary briefly after the three rotations

The impetus for sector integration can be found in different ministries and at

different levels depending on the country context. There is no one-size-fits-all approach: different country specific

pathways can lead to a common outcome of integration
