Inspired by The Chemical Br0thers, Daft Punk, and Nine Inch Nails.

Innerpartysystem? Qué?!

“In George Orwell’s ‘1984’ social classes were defined as the inner party, outer party, and the working class. It sounds really ‘holier than thou’ when you say it, we’re not really this full of ourselves, but we liked the idea of creating this full, multimedia, over-stimulating, elitist environment that we were trying to invite everyone into. It’s the ironic elitist class. I guess it was that overall vibe that stuck a cord with all of us. We spent a solid month just brainstorming hundreds of shitty names. Innerpartysystem just seemed to embody everything we were looking for.” (Williamson)

Popularity Innerpartysystem isn’t

as “popular” as they may seem.

Only released one album called well… Innerpartysystem.

The hit single “Don’t Stop” was released in May 2008, “boosting” the band’s popularity.

“The Takeover”?

Believe it or not, Innerpartysystem was originally called “The Takeover.” (Ramirez)

Since “Don’t Stop” was such a big hit, the band decided to change the name to Innerpartysystem.

“Innerpartysystem just seemed to embody everything we were looking for.”

(Williamson)- Jared Piccone
