Instructions for Quoting & Issuing

Recreational Insurance

What does our system do?

Our online rating system does more than rate. It allows you to see and do just about everything we can see and do including:

1) Quote new business2) Issue a policy 3) Take payments4) Give quote on an active policy

for a potential endorsement (what if technology)

5) Quote an existing customer for a new line of business

6) Endorse a policy7) Review the full history of a policy8) Review reports on production and

status of business

While our system has many tools for agents, the purpose of this document is to provide basic information which allows you to access our system, quote new business and issue a new policy.

First, go to www.us-insurance.com and login using your case-sensitive username and password.

Accessing our system will take you to the home screen. This screen has links that allow

you to quote, issue, endorse or retrieve policy information as well as many other

things simply by clicking on the links.

The Producer Default Limits link allows you to set default limits on quotes helping you to

save time.

To do a new quote or retrieve a stored quote click on the quote link.

Type in the customers first and last name then press the enter key on your keyboard.

Click on the “Enter New Quote” link

For agents with multiple state authority select the state

otherwise click “continue”

Select the product to quote(motorcycle / atv, jet ski, boat, travel trailer )

then click continue.

Complete the information on each of the 3 links. When finished click the rate button.

HELP BUTTONS – Throughout the system are question marks (?). Clicking on these will provide further information that will help you in the quote.

Be sure to note discount information if applicable.

TRANSFER DISCOUNT– applicants with current or prior insurance coverage (proof required)

HOMEOWNER DISCOUNT– Applicants who own either a home, condo or mobile home (proof required).

The next tab (vehicles) is where you enter information about the motorcycle or atv including garaging zip code.

The final tab is the driver screen. This screen is where you provide detailed information about each operator.

4. MOTORCYCLE ASSOCIATION DISCOUNT – IF APPLICABLE

ONCE YOU’VE COMPLETED APPLICANT INFORMATION, CLICK ON THE RATE TAB FOR THE QUOTE.

2) QUOTES ARE BASED ON APPLICANT INFORMATION. RATE MAY CHANGE DURING APPLICATION IF MVR OR VEHICLE INFORMATION DIFFERS

3) REQUOTE BUTTON AT THE TOP ALLOWS YOU TO AMEND EXISTING QUOTE

4) SUBMIT BUTTON – BEGINS THE APPLICATION PROCESS FOR SUBMITTING NEW BUSINESS

2. Once retrieved click on the SUBMIT button at the top of the stored quote

1. Retrieve stored quotes by clicking on the quote button on the home page

Begin completing the application. Click on the “continue” button to proceed.

Type in the effective date. Click on the “continue” button to proceed.

You’re almost done! From here you simply need to click on each of the 5 tabs to confirm or complete remaining information for the application.

On the “Policy Tab” select the appropriate payment plan (paid in full, U.S. Insurance pay plan, 20% down and 4,6, or 8 remaining payments). You can also choose other payment plans listed with other companies.

SUBMITTNG NEW BUSINESS “Coverage Tab”

On the “Coverage Tab” you are simply confirming coverage information.

You will need to add prior insurance information if giving the transfer discount.

On the driver tab click on each drivers name (a link) to complete remaining information for each listed driver.

Add drivers license info (include the state licensed)

Finally, click on either of the respective buttons . This will order the mvr.

On the vehicle tab click on each vehicle (a link) to complete remaining information needed for motorcycle or atv.

If the system does not recognize the VIN number don’t worry. You can still complete the application and sell the policy.

Scooters and Mopeds: We insurance all scooters 250cc’s or less but some make and models may not be listed. If you don’t see the manufacturer listed simply select “scooter” as the make and “250cc’s or less” for the model.

Complete lienholder information if applicable.

When finished click on the “update vehicle information tab.

On the underwriting tab have your customer answer the remaining 7 questions.

When finished click on the “continue tab”.

The pending dec page will display what the policy will be issued at.

Click on the pay button for the final process.

We accept e-check from either agent or applicant. We also accept visa or mastercard.

Final Comments

1. Once you receive payment from insured you can print all application documents

2. Collect proof of discounts3. Fax all signed documents and proof of

discounts to 800-342-9156. Please include the fax cover page that prints with that specific application.
