Removal of “old”REST API endpints
Provider vs. Consumer
Our records show, that the interface endpoint (api/v1/services/servicesHasInterfaces) might not be used in production at the moment. We would like turn it off latest on Nov 20th in order to avoid performance decreases.à Please inform us ASAP so we can discuss migrations
During the migration we have the assign one application as provider and one as consumer of the Interface. Whenever the direction was set to “Outgoing” or “Incoming” we can derive this. In case of “Bi-‐Directional” this is not clear and we have a 50% chance to do it right.à Filter by all Bi-‐Directional interfaces in the inventory, export to Excel and correct the wrong entries.
On Nov 6th the new version of leanIX will provide four main improvements1

• For each interface between two applications a new Interface Fact Sheet is created• The major part of attributes are directly mapped to attributes in the new Fact Sheet, e.g.:
Name / Description, ExternalID, Frequency, Type, Direction• The two connected applications are linked to the new interface• Technology is mapped to an IT Component, if it did not exist, a new component is created• The link to one or more Data Objects remains• The field Link (URL) is migrated to a linked document• The Status (Active, Sunset) is migrated to the lifecycle
The new Fact Sheet shows all interface information at a glance

You can take your time and really make sure, that all data has been migrated properly. The section “Interfaces” is set to read-‐only.
On November 20th we will remove this section. If you are OK you can remove it by disabling the section. Just open “Customize Fact Sheet” in the right sidebar and navigate to “Advanced”.
