Why Join in the Ninth Grade?• Less Transition• Eligibility• IB Trained teachers in 9th

and 10th grade classes• Establish friendships

IB and Athletic Eligibility

• Students who transfer to an IB school from a school that ends at 8th grade are automatically eligible for athletics.

• Students who transfer to an IB school from a high school must sit out a year.

• Students who drop out of an IB school will have to sit out a year when returning to the home school.

Application Timeline

• Applications due at respective IB schools by April 4, 2007

• Interview and writing sample appointments held on April 10 and 12

• Students will be notified of acceptance by the end of April

The Cost of the Program

• There will be a charge of $800 to the student

• This cost will cover the price of the IB tests, postage costs, and the costs of educational materials

• $400 will be due at the beginning of the junior and $400 at the beginning of the senior year.
