What now?I have gained a valuable vision about sensors in our future life
I have realized that sensor technologies are established andbecoming more invasive for controlling everyday life.
Sensors turn into spimes (sensors + GPS/time + network + memory)
Sensor technologists develop sensor networks that track specicparameters, but nobody really knows how to handle these data. Forsure, not how to handle them altogether and efciently .
Spimes are not just rough data, they are information - and theycan build themselves information and relat
ionships.
Spimes sync data to their cloud, not the cloud.
Future developments in mobile devices, microprocessors and wirelesswill enable each unit, even small and simple, to be active and notjust passive -> following other spimes and managing events.

Each sensornetwork is linkedto its cloud
With this uppercloud, anyone can

Types of sensors
Many devices, many host, many types of dataMonday, July 12, 2010

GoalPain: we need a sensor atmosphere, which raisesover the single cloud and connects internet of things spimes/clouds
Information, even anonymous, from one sensor has signicant value outside its cloud
Value proposition: build the abstract layer thatreads updates from all sensors, all types of data, all hosts and shares them with the outside(search) and with the inside (follow) - as Twitter

Issues
Protocols: design through protocols that willbe then reused by developers
Privacy: how can sensors remain anonymousand hidden to users?
Separating users and sensors as much aspossible
Log-in/initialization: how?

Why open source?Community: it reaches the whole community of developers from the start
It enables developers to start working straighton the upper level
Fast: it moves faster than proprietary software, giving up dead ends quickly
Flexibility: software goes dynamic
Business model: open source does not mean no

My plansI have spotted the opportunity of the nextbig thing (but is it?)
Relocate to somewhere I can learn fast, setup a team and go for this project
Raise funds and bootstrap
Iterate on the project
Have fun building cool projects
Deadlines in Aug/Sept for some funds
