Walking Working Surfaces• What is “Walking Working

Surfaces”?

• Any Surface or structure that a person will either walk or stand on

• Surfaces that we walk or work on

• Work areas, aisles, walk-ways are free of slip, trip and fall hazards

• Means of egress is not blocked

Resource Conservation• What is “Resource Conservation”?

• Prevention of injury, decay, waste, or loss; 

• Ethical use and protection of valuable resources

• Protection, preservation, and careful management of natural resources

• Restoration from loss, damage, or neglect

Walking Working Services Stats• WWS accounted for 20% of all NAB (North America

Beverages) recordable injuries in 2014 second only to Ergonomics

• 10% of all recordable injuries were Slips, Trips, and Falls in 2013 in NAB

• Slips, Trips, and Falls in industry are 15% of fatal accidental deaths second only to motor vehicle accidents
