Objective

• You will learning to operate a horticulture business or use plants to enhance your life

• Not a theory course• We must raise plants to sell to fund the

educational program• Learn scientific principles and apply

them to growing plants for food, pleasure, or income

Daily Grade Rubric• You will receive a daily work grade

– A – Worked hard all class– B - Worked most of class– C- Worked some– D- Worked only a little with nagging– F – Didn’t do squat

• You will get a bi-weekly average in your notebook

Grades

• Daily Grade 35% – Work ethic– Stay on task– Clean-up

• Notebook 15% – Complete– Neat

• Quizzes 25%• Projects 25%

• Exam(s) count 10% of the semester grade• Quiz most Fridays with terms Open notebook.

Notebook

• Everyday you will take notes from the screen and put them in your notebook

• If you miss a day, you must get the notes from the class website

• Notebooks will be graded every other week

Computer & Internet Use

• No recreational use during class time
