Prerequisites COSC 3020 (big “O”) or approval of the instructor.

Working knowledge on probability (e.g., independence, expectation) is required.

Sufficient programming skills (in Python) is required.

Write assignments in Latex.

PoliciesGrading

- 4550: assignment 50%, midterm1 15%, midterm2 15%, final 20%

- 5550: assignment 65%, midterm1 10%, midterm2 10%, final 15%

Assignment(AM)

- written AM must be done in Latex and submit a hard copy (pdf file will not be graded)

- programming AM needs to submit both printed report and Python code (zipped, email)

Late AM or exam submission will not be graded.
