OUR STORY

• The Anat Franchise, one of South Africa’s leading fast food chain franchises, along with its restaurants specialises in Middle Eastern cuisine such as Shwarma, Falafel, Laffa as well as hamburgers. The Anat food chain franchises can be found throughout the country from Johannesburg to Cape Town. • In 1945, Anat’s grandfather started the Falafel and Shwarma family business and, two generations later, it’s still going strong.

• 1991: In South Africa, Anat started from a mobile unit at Bruma Flea Market, now with over 20 stores throughout the country -- Anat Falafel & Shwarma has certainly made its mark.

• 1999: Anat’s Bakery was founded. It supplies fresh pita daily to all our branches, as well as to major supermarket chains. Anat’s kitchens in Johannesburg and Cape Town manufacture meat products, pickles and sauces for all our outlets.

FRANCHISING

• The ideal size for an Anat store is 45-50 m2, excluding seating and preferably with an entrance opening of 6 meters wide plus. Crucial factors to take into account when looking for a suitable location: good visibility and passing foot traffic. • In order to maintain consistency, the franchisees are required to purchase their meat products, pickles, sauces and packaging as well as Pita bread, Falafel and Hummus from our central kitchen. • We will help, advise and negotiate site selection in order to ensure costs, location and general feasibility are all in order. • We require the store to be owner-run for the benefit of the business; typically five staff and a manager are required to run a shift. • Staff and franchisees are to undergo a two-month training program prior to the opening of the store.

• The estimated investment required is R750,000.00, plus an initial joining fee of R100,000.00, however on site approval, you will be furnish with a more accurate figure. • This amount includes; design, building, commissioning, staff training, equipment,

layout, fixtures, fittings, smalls.

• The monthly royalty fee is 5% and monthly advertising fee is 3% of turnover.
