The Story and the Storyboard

• You will write your own original story and create a storyboard.

• The storyboard will show camera angles, shots, camera movements, and characters’ movements.

• The storyboard will include captions.• See the next few slides for examples of

storyboards.

• If you pay attention to commercials, TV shows, and movies you’ll see that the camera rarely stays still. Instead, it moves left to right, right to left, up, down, and zooms in and out.

• The following slides will show you some common camera angles, shots, and camera movement.

• You should use each of these in your film.
