English 1410: Introduction to Literature

Course Description: In this class, students will study fiction, poetry, and drama written by authors of diverse backgrounds and experiences. Students will identify common literary elements in each genre, understanding how specific elements influence meaning. (Pre-requisite: English 1110 or English 1110P) Course Requirements: Students will complete short responses (Questions and Quotes), a presentation, and a final paper.

This course satisfies the Humanities Requirement for most degrees and majors.

It also serves as an Approved Elective course for many degree programs.
