Subject

Residential area: A lot of car workshops but no basic services. A lot of open green but no public space. The conformist prison of privileged middleclass nuclear family.

Why

There are neither private nor public spaces without an urbanism strategy; it is design as a package. As citizens and consumers of private houses, we are all responsible of the whole structure and its consequences. Public space versus packaging.

How

The research is based on the analysis of the origin of contemporary residential areas (City Garden Plan) and the mechanisms that turn a public space into a social space.

What

Public spaces, not a derivative of movement, not just open green areas, but an extension of our private life.
