Headspace Sleepy September
Students in Rooms 7 & 8 will be taking part in the Headspace Sleepy September. 66% of Australia’s young people are not getting enough sleep. Not getting enough quality sleep has significant negative short term and long term health effects. Students will be using a sleep passport to track their sleeping and how it relates to their mental health and wellbeing.
The Great Vegie Crunch!
Our school is taking part in The Great Vegie Crunch, joining with schools across Western Australia to simultaneously crunch on fresh vegetables—and have fun doing it. WHEN: Tuesday 10th September Please ensure your child brings: some fresh, washed vegetables to crunch on. Maybe a carrot or sugar snap peas, or cut up some capsicum, broccoli, cucumber or celery. Author Visit-Wendy Binks
The Kindy and Pre Primary students enjoyed a wonderful incursion by author and Illustrator Wendy Binks on Friday 30th August. Wendy Binks is a well known artist and author based in Fremantle. She taught the children how to draw fantastic emus and shared some of her stories about Stripy the Emu. Stripy has many adventures in the Australian Bush.
