Summary:     The   Fitness   Instructor   is   responsible   for   enhancing   the   member   and   guest  experience   in   all   aspects   of   fitness   and  well-­‐being.   This   includes   classes,   specific   training,  orientations  and  general  studio  safety  and  cleanliness.    This  role  will  also  include  assistance  as  and  when  required  with  other  parts  of  the  studio.

Responsibilities:  -­‐  Develops  positive  relationships  with  class  participants  by  teaching  a  variety  of  challenging  and  entertaining  group  fitness  classes    -­‐  Maintains  positive  relationships  with  members  and  motivates  members  to  continue  to  consistently  attend  classes  in  order  to  meet  daily  class  attendance  goals    -­‐  Cleans  and  organizes  studio  after  each  Group  Fitness  class    -­‐  Promotes  Red  Bow  Fitness  Studio  promotions,  programs,  products,  and  services  to  class  participants    -­‐Attends  required  meetings  and  training  sessions.    -­‐Represents  the  studio  in  various  outside  networking  and  community  service  events    -­‐  Performs  related  duties  as  required.    

Requirements:    -­‐Knowledge  and  experience  in  teaching  Pilates,  Yoga,  Barre,  Dance,  Zumba,  and/or  Cycling.      -­‐  Current  primary  Group  Fitness  Instructor  Certification  (s)  (ACE,  ACSM,  AFAA,  HD)  is  required  and/or  specialty  certification  (i.e.,  Yoga,  Pilates,  Cycling,  Zumba)  depending  on  type  of  classes  to  be  taught.    -­‐Six  months  experience  as  a  fitness  instructor  

 -­‐  CPR/AED  certification  required  or  must  be  obtained  within  first  90  days  of  employment.    -­‐Personal  passion  and  commitment  for  living  a  healthy  lifestyle      -­‐Excellent  communication  skills  and  the  ability  to  take  a  proactive  approach  to  understanding  guests  needs  and  desires.    -­‐Instructors  must  be  customer  focused,  and  team  oriented      -­‐Ability  to  lead  and  instruct  various  levels  of  classes;  walk  or  stand  for  an  hour  or  more  at  a  time    -­‐  Must  be  able  to  lift  and  carry  objects  weighing  5  to  20  pounds    -­‐Must  be  proficient  with  computers  and  telephone
