DESCRIPTION

Jekyll Club is a famous and historic hotel located in Jekyll Island, Georgia. Once the vacation destination of America’s elite, Jekyll Club now offers luxurious amenities along with living history. I rebranded the hotel to represent a more expensive and lavish destination. I applied the brand to a series of toiletries and a look-book told from first person experiences detailing daily activities on the island.

Our day at Jekyll Club.

early morning and the sun is already bright above us. We pass through the old arches declaring the bridge to lead to Jekyll Island.

It’s

arrive at the Club to see a beautiful combination of palm and oak trees. There are families on the front lawn playing croquet.

We

check in, I notice the warmth of the lobby walls mirror the temperature outside. It was clear that this room always was and still is welcoming.

We

room is beautiful. We have a small alcove and a stretch of porch with rocking chairs. From our porch we can see the Island Sweets Shoppe and smell the homemade fudge.

Our

start off at Cafe Solaria for some breakfast pastries before we start exploring the Island. The homemade goods are a delicacy within themselves, but nothing compares to their chocolate croissant. This danish is a Jekyll Club legend and many guests, self included, long for one even once the vacation is over.

We

head downstairs under the lobby and each rent a bike. We get the pedals going and start heading down the path filled with Historic boutique shops.

We

the end of the row of old servant buildings turned boutique store is a museum of Jekyll Island. This fascinating little stop is worth your time showing direct physical comparisons between “then” and “now” of Jekyll Island and the Club.

At

an exciting morning adventure, we head to the Grand Ballroom for a luxurious lunch. The lavish room is full of roses, ceramic and golden silverware. There is nothing like a delicious meal in a fancy restaurant to feel like your living in the lap of luxury.

A fter

that night has fallen, before we go off to bed, we decide to have a nightcap at the bar. The wood panel walls and dark whicker furniture are direct references to the history that laces this famous hotel. Warm drinks, good conversation and romance can all be seen by the bar once the moon comes out.

Now

I hope your day is just as good as ours was.
