The Chemist

The Chemist opening hours are 8.30-13.30 and 16.30-18.00. Many doctors work there and the only time they can rest and pause is at lunchtime.On Saturday and Sunday are open on shifts.

The Tobacco Store

Long time ago makes tobacco stores were not called this way, "the tobacco and salt. "They sell everything from books to sweets, cigarettes and toys.

The Laundry

Nowadays some mothers,instead of washing clothes in their homes, take them to the laundry and make them wash by a lady who has huge washing machines.

The Hairdresser's shop

Usually people go into this shop for a haircut, or to make a change from their usual haircut.

The Bar

Here in Italy the bar

is a meeting place where people 

can chat 

and buy some food. We know many people who 

work at this bar

because usually in the morning and in the afternoon they will bring the coffees to some of our  teachers.

The Newsagent

In Italy the newsagent is a place where you can buy magazines, toys, stickers and books.Some of us after school  are accompanied by their mum and dad to the newsagent to buy something. Usually, many children go to the newsagent, 

Others only go once in a while, and others do not go there ever.

The Green Grocer

In this shop you can buy all kinds of fruit, this of course according to the seasons.

Since every day there are a lot of customers, people  working there must make all efforts to make customers happy. The only day that  this store is closed on Sundays.

The Bakery

The owner of the shop is called  Louise and is the one who sells bread. In addition to bread, in this shop you can also buy fruit juices, biscuits, pasta and  anything you would find in a food shop.

The Butcher

In Italy the butcher is a place where you can buy all kinds of meat, then cook them to their mothers’ liking. 

Sometimes instead of a single person serving there are two, and I must say that it works much better !!!!

The Post Office

Here we can send and receive letters. Nowadays, people use the computer to send the letters.

They just go to the bank to pay bills.
