How is it with your soul?
Pastor Emily and Phil invite you for times of fellowship and conversation on Sunday evenings. For five Sundays, beginning June 2, we invite you to the parsonage for a time of sharing, snacks, conversatioand reflection from 6:00 8:00 pm. Please bring a snack to share we will provide refreshing lemonade. Comas many Sundays as you are able.We will be swapping our best stories, lifting each other up and hearing a woto carry us through our week.
a message from our pastor... Dear Friends, I am so trying to get caught up. I was ovacation and then returned to Salina only to leave for Annual Conference in Hutchinson two hours later. Tmake matters worse, I was in an auto accident while on my trip back to Ohio. No injuries just an injurebumper.Yet one simple bumper now demands my attention as I call insurance companies and get estimates frepair. What a way to begin the summer season. Now I sit in Annual Conference trying to get my newsletter communications finished. While it seems verushed, that is not what I am feeling at this moment. Instead, I am listening to reports at Annual Conference anI am so calm, so rooted, and so happy! Do you know how much ministry is going on in this state? Do you knohow many people in our Kansas West Conference are called to do ministry? I am not simply speaking of beingpastor I am hearing lay people and clergy who are passionate about answering Gods call. These people atransforming the world. Words cannot express my feelings of awe and amazement of Go
working in and through Gods people. This summer we will worship each Sunday morning, and I want you to be there.
We are going to hear the word of God. Specifically, we will be hearing thestories of Gods prophet, Elijah. I want us to hear not just stories of Elijah, but to hear our story that God has for us. We are Gods prophets! What isthe word that God wants us to take out to the people of the world and share
with them?
I am sure that your summer days and weeks will be busy, just as mine havebeen. But take the time to be here on Sunday mornings and hear, really hear,Gods call and Gods word for your life. Join together in worship, and join Philand me on Sunday evenings. Know that we are, all of us, Gods people, and that God is transforming this world through us. I wish you peace, Pastor Emily
