Baptisms will be on Saturdays at 12:00PM. Parents must be registered parishioners
of Blessed Virgin Mary, Queen of Peace & St. Veronica Parish
or another Catholic Parish. All parents are required to attend a Pre-baptismal
Seminar which are held bi-monthly. Please contact the Parish rectory to make
arrangements for this seminar.

VIRTUS PROTECTING GOD’S CHILDREN
FOR ADULTS PROGRAM June 19, 2018 @ 5:30PM
This training session is required for all adult employees and volunteers of this parish who have not taken it yet. Please call the Rectory Office at 570 226-3183 or email qpparishsec@gmail.com for more details and to register for the class.
During the training, you will learn the tools and show you the resources to maintain a safe environment for all children, will incorporate techniques in a discussion-format to help you recognize the warning signs of child sexual abuse and how to respond to it appropriately and effectively. This is different then the Mandated Reporter Training.

K of C COLLECTING FOR ARC/DYBERRY DAY CAMP
Members of the Knights of Columbus Council #797
will be conducting their annual Measure-UP collection for ARC/Dyberry Day
Camp outside of Queen of Peace & St. Veroni-ca Churches after all Masses the weekend of
June 23/24, 2018 For those who are not aware, the ARC of
Pennsylvania is a non-profit organization that provides advocacy and resources to citizens of
all ages with intellectual and developmental disabilities. One of the local activities receiving
funding from ARC is the Dyberry Day Camp here in Honesdale, PA.
The Little Sisters of the Poor
, will be present at our churches the weekend of,
June 30 & July 1, 2018.
Once again, they come to us asking for our prayers and
financial support. Your response in the past has always been
most gratifying and we ask for your generous response once again. The
Sisters of the Poor will be at all entrances of our churches after each Mass to meet and greet all
of our generous parishioners. Thank you for your continued support!
SURVEY! DATE FOR ADULT SCRIPTURE STUDY
We will be having a 7 or 8 week scripture study on the biblical foundations of the Catholic Church, and need your input on the preferred dates and times.
We would like to have 2 sessions that accommodate the adults of Blessed Virgin Mary Queen of Peace parish. Please indicate your first choice with a 1
and your second choice with a 2, then return to the rectory or place in the collection basket on Sunday. Thank you!
