A House of Night Novel

In Marked the world is very much like ours today, only vampires have always existed.

Zoey Redbird is an average girl that got her world flipped upside down. She has been marked as a fledgling vampire.

Zoey must leave her boyfriend, Heath behind.

She must also quit her own school and attend the house of night, where she will train to become a grown vampire.

The only problem is not all fledglings are able to make the change. Some reject the change and die.

Each fledgling gets a mentor to help them get through the change to a vampire. Nerferet is Zoeys mentor…. And the High Priestess of Nyx.

Nyx the goddess of night has marked Zoey differently. Her mark is colored in unlike the other fledglings.

Zoey soon discovers that she has special powers. She can control the five elements. Only high priestesses are able to use the five elements if they are lucky enough

Zoey is not the only fledgling to have powers, she learns that Aphrodite , the leader of the Dark Daughters, an elite group at the House of Night, also has a power. She also finds that her power is being misused.
