Design an exhibit space for the 2010 winter SnowSports Industries America (SIA) tradeshow in Denver, Colorado. The booth should be interactive, engaging and utilizes innovative technological applications for the client, Rochester Exhibit Services and their client, Bollé Performance Eyewear.

I designed a contemporary ski lounge using iconic textures and materials while encorporating interactive, engaging technology to entice the attendees remain in the Bollè booth and buy product.

"E-WASTE RECYCLING KIOSK"

Design a system or product to combat the environmental impact of electronic waste in the global community.

This was a group project with three other Industrial Design students. We chose to design a kiosk where the consumer could recycle their electronic waste conveniently. Two of us designed the user-interface while the other two designed the exterior ofthe kiosk. The interface was developed in Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop.

Redesign the present Palmolive Dishsoap packaging for a product currently in development that would clean both counters and dishes and dispense as a foaming liquid.

This was a project proposed by client, Colgate-Palmolive and completed in groups consisting of two Industrial Design students, two Graphic Design students and two Packaging Science students. Our group designed an easy to squeeze bottle, with a dual-modedispenser that allowed the consumer to choose between a liquid anda foam. Updated graphics reference Palmolive’s vintage aestheticswhile maintaining current brand equity.

Design a lighting system that is based on a specific need.

At the time of this course, the devastating earthquake in Haiti had just occured. I decided that I wanted to design a light that would initially serve as a packaging system to send supplies to victims of natural disaster, that could then be transformed into a self-sufficient lamp.

Identify a social issue that resonates with you and design a way to publicize that issue through subversion and record your experience.

Upon transferring to Rochester Institute of Technology, I experienced an incredibly trying transition and received very little assistance in easing my anxiety and stress. I decided to reach out to recent transfer students at RIT and send them hand-written, anonymous letters of encouragement and understanding. I then created an online book chronocling my project.

“Carestream CBCT Scanner”

junior year

Design a portable cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) scanner that could be used to scan a limb and potentially the entire body of a patient as an economical alternative to magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) technology.

This was a group project with other Industrial Design students. Our design would allow a patient’s individual limbs to be scanned or their entire body while in an adjustable gantry system. The renderings were created using SolidWorks, Bunkspeed, and Adobe Photoshop. Models werecreated at quarter scale withfoam and bristol board.

Design a housewares product that addresses a specific problem inthe home

Often in showers without tubs, it is very difficult for a woman toshave her legs because she has no place to rest her foot. “Pedi-lift” is made of vacuum molded plastic and rubber grips and suctions to any smooth surface, providing a safer, more comforatble shaving experie-nce. When not in use, the user can release the brace underneath clos-ing the product and storing their razor in the interior compartment.
