I believe all of us have a call for greatness which comes from God. This call is realized only if we keep our momentum going in the right direction. However all of us have come to that place in our lives when the vision becomes overwhelming. The task ahead seems so impossible and the desire to withdraw rather than push forward comes to tempt us.
How do we keep the “mo” going? How can we press through to the greatness God has called us to and not shrink away?
In Nehemiah Chapter 4, we find that Nehemiah is overcome by the reports he has heard about the condition of Jerusalem. Nehemiah is working as a servant in exile from his Jewish roots, so he asks his boss, King Artaxerxes if he can go to Jerusalem and get the city back intact.
Throughout their history the Jewish race is an example of “lost momentum”. At times they are doing great and other times they are in the pits of life. Victory and defeat were both common experiences for them. Nehemiah recognizes the lost momentum of the Jews in Jerusalem.
“The strength of the burden is falling, yet there is much rubbish; and we ourselves are unable to rebuild the wall”. And our enemies said, “They will not know or see until we come along them, kill them and put a stop to the work.” Nehemiah 4:10-‐11 (KJV)
From those two verses we can see that there are 4 things which cause us to lose our momentum in life.
1) You lose your “mo” when you lose your strength. It was said in Judah their strength was failing
2) You lose your “mo” when you lose your vision. There was much rubbish because they had lost focus on where they were headed, and the vision for rebuilding the wall.
3) You lose your “mo” when you lose your confidence. They came to the place where they no longer believed they could rebuild the wall.
4) You lose you “mo” when you have lost your security. They were now listening to what their enemy was saying, not what God had been telling them.
Let’s Not Lose Our “Mo”
1. Stay healthy, strong and rested. This is vital in order to keep pressing on. It takes strength, physical energy and a sound, peaceful mind. Your body is the “temple of the Holy Spirit” take care of it.
2. Renew the vision and calling on your life. “Without a vision my people perish” (Proverbs 29:18). Go to God daily for direction. Be careful not to be side tracked or preoccupied with burdensome issues. Keep the prize in mind and renew your goals.
3. Remember who you are in Christ Jesus. In Him you can do all things. Know that you have a destiny. God has something he wants to accomplish through you and me.
4. Pray everyday, read the scriptures and praise Him. In Him and only Him do we find our security.
Let’s continue to keep the spiritual momentum moving forward.
Blessings, Pastor Bob

KINGD OM KIDS
!
Our kids Need to know the Gospel of Jesus above all else;Need to know that we love the Word of God as the central guide in our lives;Need to know what it means to live a Spirit led life by seeing us live Spirit led lives.
Our kids Need to see us loving God with all of our hearts, souls & minds, in spite of our imperfect lives;Need to see our love for God in action through our love for others;Need to see God’s love for them in the way we show our love for them.
Our kids Need to experience true worship by seeing us live lives of true worship;Need to experience true forgiveness so that they can learn to forgive;Need to experience true service by serving alongside those who will teach them to serve.
Our kids Need to be taught the facts of God’s Word as a basis for learning the principles of God’s Word;Need to be taught the principles of God’s Word so that they can live in a world without principles;Need to be taught how to live without compromise in a world full of compromise.
Our kids Need us to stop being distracted . Need us to stop making excuses .Need us to stop talking the talk without walking the walk
Our kids need us to make a radical commitment to live radical lives because we serve a radical God who loves us with a radical love.
Our kids need us to live with the conviction that what we say we believe we actually believe, that who we say we are is who we actually are, and that our love for God and our love for others supercedes all other loves.
Our kids need us to see a real, authentic, uncompromising and fully committed faith. For it is in seeing this faith that they will see it’s power, and in seeing it’s power they will claim it for their own. And it’s in claiming a powerful faith in Jesus… that our kids will have what they really need.

Children need to know what Godly character looks like in practical terms. We love the character quality of honor, not just because God commands it, but also because it has so much rich meaning for parents and children. It can give direction in many of the frustrating moments we experience in family life. In fact, every form of selfishness has an honor-based solution.
Honor means…Treating people as special, Doing more than what's expected, And having a good attitude.
Use our honor definition or make up your own. The point is that honor changes people. It changes the way that parents relate to their children, the way children relate to each other, and the way children relate to their parents. We all need it.
You can use the concept of honor in correction or when things are going well. You can use it when you teach your children about money, time, and other resources, and you can teach it when conflict comes around. One fun way to teach it is on special occasions when someone wins a contest or earns a certificate. You may show honor by giving that person a fancy place at the table or by decorating his or her bedroom door. Honor is fun. It's like oil in a machine. It gets work done with less friction and less heat. Every family needs honor. It's great when things are going well and essential when family relationships are strained. You can work on honor whether your kids are preschoolers or teens. It will change the way your family relates.
This parenting tip comes from our book, Say Goodbye to Whining, Complaining, and Bad Attitudes in You and Your Kids by Dr Scott Turansky and Joanne Miller, RN, BSN.
