About the Department
The Department of Computer Science and
Engineering was established in the year
2001 with the aim of imparting quality
education to the students. The Department
has been accredited by National Board of
Accreditation (NBA) and also permanently
affiliated by Anna University for UG
Programme. The Department offers two
courses: B.E. (Computer science and
Engineering) with an intake of 120 seats
and M.E (Computer Science and
Engineering) with an intake of 24 seats.
The Department has very good
infrastructure with four well equipped air-
conditioned Laboratories, Seminar Hall,
Department Library and Class Rooms with
LCD projectors.
The Department has well qualified faculty
members continuously upgrading their
knowledge by presenting papers in
conferences, attending faculty
development training programs to
optimize the cutting edge technology
prevailing in the field of Information
Technology. Most of the faculty members
are the members of Professionals bodies
like ISTE, CSI. The Department has
sanctioned with the grant-in-aid of
Rs.7,20,000/- for the financial year 2010-
11 & Rs.6,00,000/- for the financial year
2011-12 under Entrepreneurship
Development Cell (EDC) Scheme by
AICTE.
The Department has signed MoU with
leading organizations like IBM, Microsoft,
ICTACT,
Winways etc.

Technical Events organized
FDP
Faculty Development Program on “Cloud
Infrastructure and Services” one week
program by ICTACT was conducted on
the from 27th
of July to 3rd
of August 2015.
Thanks to the joint efforts of the staff and
students of the department of Computer
Science and Engineering, as was expected
it was a huge success. Our Principal
Dr.J.S.Gnanasekaran presided over the
function. Mr.N.Karthick Senior Trainer,
ICTACT delivers the Inaugural address.
Around 25 faculties from various colleges
participated in this program.
International Certification exam on Cloud
Infrastructure and Services was conducted
for the staff members on 20th August,
2015.
Our college is a member of ICT
Academy of TamilNadu, where the
institution provides training for the faculty
and skill development programs for the
students by organizing technical programs,
FDP, seminar.
SDP
Two day Student Development Program on
“Cyber Security” in association with
TIFACORE was organized on 31st of July
and 1st of August 2015. Our Principal
Dr.J.S.Gnanasekaran presided over the

Association Activities
Inauguration of Student Association
ORDINATEUR’15, was conducted on the
8th of August 2015. Our beloved President
Er.K.N.K.KARTHIK, presided over the
function. Our respected Principal
Dr.J.S.Gnanasekaran felicitated the
gathering. Mr.J.PRASATH, IRS, Assistant
Commissioner of Service Tax, Mumbai
(Alumni 2005 batch) delivers the Inaugural
address. Around 250 students from our
department participated in this function.
Workshop
Our department organized workshop on
Advanced C++ Programming by APTECH
Computer Education for the students of 3rd
year CSE on 12th August 2015.
Two day workshop on “Mobile Application
Development” was organized by our
department on 30th Nov & 1
st Dec 2015. Our
principal Dr.J.S.Gnanasekaran, presided
over the function. Mr.R.Senthil, Android
Developer & Senior Testing Associate,
Elysium Technologies Pvt Ltd, Madurai,
deliverd the inaugural address. More than 50
staff members from various colleges
participated in this workshop and gained
knowledge about mobile application
development.
