Bible Journey Series
The Bible can be a difficult ‘book’ to read from beginning to end (genealogies, wars, prophetic symbolism …)
To aid our biblical journey, we will progress through a series of videos
(~8 min length) that visually describe the overarching theme in each
biblical book and how it fits in the entire Biblical narrative
The videos are created by: The Bible Project
www.thebibleproject.com
www.youtube.com/user/jointhebibleproject
(find this on www.krpcyouth.ca Resources page)
As a resource: An entire bible reading plan with interactive videos, book overviews and theme videos at key moments in the journey

Cum citim biblia?
How do we read the
bible?
O abordare practica
--------------------
A practical approach
De ce tot vorbim de biblie?
Why do we keep talking about the bible?
Ea este revelația lui Dumnezeu
pentru noi: Apoc 1:1-2
Ea stabilește ce este adevărul:
Ioan 17:17
Ea trasează (sau luminează)
calea care trebuie urmată: Ps
119:105
Ea vorbește sufletelor noastre:
2 Petru 1:20-21
Ea ne arată exemple ca să ne
ferească (sau intărească) în
credintă: 1 Cor 10:11
It is the revelation of God for us: Revelation 1:1-2
It establishes what is the truth:
John 17:17
It outlines (or lights) the path
we must follow: Psalm 119:105
It speaks to our souls: 2 Peter
1:20-21
It shows examples to protect
(or strengthen) us in faith: 1 Cor
10:11
Biblia este mai mult decât o carte
The bible is more than a book
Ea nu este o ‘carte’, ci o
bibliotecă [‘biblios’]
Cărțiile din ea sunt scrise prin
multipli scriitori, dar de un singur
autor: Dumnezeu
Cărțiile ei vorbesc despre și arată
către o singură persoană: Domnul
Isus Hristos!
Relația lui Dumnezeu cu noi,
căderea în păcat, legea, planulmântuirii și ce va fi în final sunt
revelate în trepte în întregimea
scripturii.
It is not a ‘book’, rather a library
[‘biblios’]
The books in it are written by
multiple writers, but a single
author: God
Its books speak about and show a
single person: The Lord Jesus Christ
God’s relationship with us, the fall
in sin, the law, the plan of salvation
and what will be at the end are
revealed gradually through the
entirety of the scipture
Ce ne e complică?
What complicates us?
Este scrisă:
În cadrul unei culturi
diferite (Cânt. cânt)
În stiluri diferite (poetic, istoric, învățătură)
Cu detalii grele de înțeles
(genealogiile)
Cu simboluri grele de
decodificat (Apocalipsa)
It is written:
In a very different culture
(song of songs)
In different styles (poetic,
historic, teaching)
With hard to understand
details (genealogies)
With hard to decode
symbols (Revelation)
Cum citim biblia?
How do we read the bible?1. Locul, cadrul și timpul
2. Platforma
3. După un plan de citire
4. Rugându-ne înainte
5. O I A
6. Documentând ce am citit
7. Folosind un comentariu biblic / ghid de studiu
8. Căutând sfatul unui învățător biblic
Acestea pentru citirea de studiu a bibliei!
1. The place, frame and time
2. The platform
3. Following a reading plan
4. Praying before
5. O I A
6. Documenting what we have read
7. Using a biblical commentary / study guide
8. Seeking the advice of a biblical teacher
This for reading the bible to study it!
Locul, cadrul și timpul
The place, frame and timeLocul:
Un loc unde nu vei fi distras, întrerupt sauderanjat
EX: Starbucks vs. camera ta
Cadrul:
Intr-un moment de claritate psihică șisufletească
EX: Nu după ce te-ai certat, cu o oră înainte de examen, etc
Timpul:
Să ai cel puțin o oră liberă la dispoziție
Nu e recomandat la ora 11:30 pm
Când ești odihnit și treaz
The place:
A place where you will not be distracted, interrupted or distrubed
EX: Starbucks vs. your room
The frame:
In a moment of mental and emotional clarity
EX: Not after you argued, an hour before an exam, etc
The time:
Have at least an hour at your disposal
It is not recommended at 11:30 pm
When you are rested and awake
Platforma
The platform
O biblie în format carte:
Va rămâne imprimat loculunde ați citit (e.g., pagina
dreaptă, coloana a doua,
partea de sus)
Nu necesită atâta ‘joacă’
(e.g., scroling)
Permite însemnări mai ample decât o aplicație electronică
Evitați telefonul, tableta pentru a
citi! Pot fi o mare distracție!
A bible in book platform:
The place you read from will
stick with you (e.g., right page,
second column, the upper
side)
Doesn’t necessitate so much
‘fiddling’ (e.g., scrolling)
Permits more specific marking
than an electronic application
Avoid reading on the tablet or
phone. They can be a distraction!
Un plan de citire
A reading plan
Folosiți un plan de citire
(cronologic, comprimat)
Respectați planul de citire
Nu săriți peste un
capitol/pasaj
Evitați să citiți la
nimereala/de oriunde.
Fiecare capitol este plasat
într-un context mai larg!
Read a reading plan (chronologic, compressed)
Respect the reading plan
Don’t skip a chapter / passage
Avoid reading randomly or from anywhere.
Every chapter is placed in a larger context.
Rugându-te înainte
Praying before
Rugăciunea deschide sufletulpentru părtășia în Cuvânt;
Rugăciunea liniștește stările
sufletești;
Rugăciunea face apel de ajutor pentru înțelegerea
scripturii:
Nimeni nu poate interpreta
mai bine scriptura decât Duhul
Sfânt care a însuflat scrierea ei.
Rugăciunea depune o cerere
care răspunde prin citirea
scripturii.
Prayer opens the soul for the fellowship with the Word
Prayer can relax / clear the
emotional states
Prayer makes a request of help
to understand the scriptures:
No one can interpret the
scripture better than the Holy
Spirit who breathed it
Prayer placed a request which
the bible reading is to answer
O I A
Observe: read and ‘live’ the moment,
the event or the situation that you are
reading
Interpret: seek to understand what that moment signifies (in what historic
context, or critical context, or within
the lives of those that lived it)
Apply: think what the event means
for your life and seek to apply the
solution given by the bible to the
problem before you
Documentează ce ai citit
Document what you read
Scrie ideiile principale din
pasajul citit;
Scrie versetele cheie care le-ai citit și ți-au vorbit;
Scrie întrebările care s-au
născut în timp ce ai citit
(e.g., Nicodim);
Scrie ce simți, ce iți spune
Domnul să faci bazat pece ai simțit (e.g., Iosia).
Write the main ideas from
what you read
Write the key verses that
spoke to you
Write the questions that
arose while you read
(e.g., Nicodimus)
Write what you feel and
what the Lord is telling
you to do based (e.g.,
Josiah)
Folosește un comentariu/ghid biblic
Use a biblical commentary / guide
Pentru a înțelege mai bine
contextul istoric, simbolistica, detaliile pertinente:
Folosește un comentariu
expozitiv (Recomand: Warren
Wiersbe Commentary)
Folosește un ghid (e.g., o biblie
de studiu cu materiale
ajutătoare)
Recomand: www.biblehub.com
To better understand the historical context, the symbolism and the
pertinent details:
Use an expository commentary
(Recommened: Warren
Wiersbe Commentary)
Use a guide (e.g., a study bible
with complementary materials)
I Recommend:
www.biblehub.com
Întreabă un învățător biblic
Ask a bible teacher
Cu toate resursele la
îndemână, tot ramân
întrebări fără răspuns;
Caută ajutor la unul din învățătorii biblici ai
bisericii (e.g., Filip si
famenul);
Adu întrebările care le-ai
scris la sesiuni de Q&A.
With all the available
resources, there are still
unanswered questions
Seek help from one of the
bible teachers of the
church (e.g., Phillip and
the eunuch)
Bring your questions to
Q&A sessions
Cel mai important lucru!
The most important thing!
Fă-ți timp și citește biblia!
Este o investiție personală
care nu o poate face
nimeni pentru tine!
De mâncat mănânci șicând nu ți-e foame. Citeșteși când nu simți nevoia/vrei.
Make time to read the
bible! It is a personal
investment that no one can
make for you!
You eat even when you are
not hungry. Read even if
you don’t feel like it.
