DESCRIPTION

This is a PowerPoint presentation for my 8th grade Social Studies classes. It is the final one of the year - designed to give them some familiarity with well known landmarks from around the world.

8th Grade Social Studies

… is proud to present…

… Your Final Mapping Quiz!!

Landmarks of the World

You will mark all these landmarks on your world map on the front of your

packet.

Insert slide here with picture of one of the students modeling the worksheet they will fill out as we go.

Includes photo of each landmark, country or state and two facts about the landmark.

We are trying to teach our 8th graders to take better, less literal notes. At the moment, they will write exactly what we tell them to – no more, no less. This will be another exercise in using judgment in what to put into their notes.
